ABOUT ANNA
Anna Goschin is a German artist who lives and works in Frankfurt and Mallorca.
The expressive and colorful depiction of self-confident female bodies plays a central role in her figurative, large-format contemporary paintings.
Anna shows her works in national and international exhibitions.
The effect of her works on the viewer plays a central role for the artist Anna Goschin. Her figurative contemporary painting is a continuation of her successful career as a fashion designer. The expressive and colorful depiction of female, at the same time self-confident and powerful women´s bodies is the result of a direct examination of the nude model. Sketches resulting from the study of the body serve as the basis for her large-format paintings, but have their own independence due to the dynamics of the strokes. The safe handling of the line is based on the long experience of the nude study and enables an interplay of graphic and painterly components. The skilful play between different painting techniques of pasty paint application in contrast to glazed surfaces, light drawing or dominant strokes bring excitement to her work. She uses acrylic, graphite, oil sticks and spray paint as painting materials. Through the intense colors, Anna Goschin focuses the viewer´s gaze on the tense situation.
